Senses
Sight...
Of shadows flying past the periphery,
I jolted, bolted awake
Aware of the usual grey dreary surroundings
Sensing change i could not fathom
I craned my neck looked around
Touch
then a sudden prickle
at the back of my neck
Feeling the eyes grazing
Right through my clothes
Watching my every move
I moved
and I turned around,
yet no one's around
The sensation stripping me
Rendering me defenseless
My vision in fragments
so i hold onto the railing.
Smell
Of smoke
as buses fly past, kids run amok,
clouds swirl around me
Wisps dotted my sight
and embers come alive
spreading, threatening, pushing me back.
Confusion and transitions,
Shock to confusion to panic.
My nerves screaming at me for flight;
From what, I do not know
To where: anywhere goes
I tried to run,
Yet i found my feet immobile, useless
I screamed
it was too little to be heard
Thoughts
of burnt plastic and hair
scorching heat and smell of blood
texture of dust and ashes
Of shadows flying past the periphery,
I jolted, bolted awake
Aware of the usual grey dreary surroundings
Sensing change i could not fathom
I craned my neck looked around
Touch
then a sudden prickle
at the back of my neck
Feeling the eyes grazing
Right through my clothes
Watching my every move
I moved
and I turned around,
yet no one's around
The sensation stripping me
Rendering me defenseless
My vision in fragments
